Soldiers’ Book

The Soldiers’ Book is a Visitors Book for the Avenue Hall from Tuesday August 31st 1915 until Monday November 8th 1915 and records the soldiers who passed through the Avenue Hall prior to embarkation for service on the Front. It is believed to be the only remaining volume of an original set of 12 kept by the Church as a record of those who passed through their doors during this period.  It is presented here as a series of pdf files showing all 559 pages of the book. The first 40 pages have now been transcribed and are searchable.
